Colombia is a country of south america and is located in ecuator zone, rich in flora and fauna although exist many countries with more territory than Colombia, Colombia takes the second place in worldwide biodiversity. The  20 percent of birds in the world they inhabit in Colombia. In Colombia increase the migrations of fauna from many parts of the planet because of the variety of ecosystems.

Some of their animals are; -Pink river dolphin -Humpback whale -Cotton-top tamarin  -Poison dart frog -Orinoco crocodile -The 89’98 butterfly–Capybara -Spectacled bear -Giant anteater -Andean condor –Jaguar. Some of the most known flowers in Colombia are: *National flower of Colombia *National Tree of Colombia *Endemism.

One of the patriotic symbols of Colombia are the flag and the colors of that flag means:

  Yellow: Represents the riches of the country, the wealth of the Colombian soil, the gold, sovereignty, harmony, justice and agriculture, as well as the Sun, the source of Light. Blue: represents the seas on Colombia's shores, the rivers that run through, and the sky above. Red: represents the blood spilled for Colombia's independence and also the effort of Colombian people, the determination and the perseverance. It represents that although Colombia's people have had to struggle they have thrived.

Barranquilla is in the northern of Colombia near to the Caribbean Sea.

Barranquilla it is very well known by they famous artists and carnival,

also quite Heard by their songs. One of the mosts famous artist in the world is Shakira and she is from Barranquilla , also are many recognized artists born in Barranquilla like: Esthercita Forero. Compositor and singer known as "La Novia de Barranquilla";Paulina Vega a famous model , television host and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Colombia 2013 and Miss Universe 2014, also second Miss Universe from Colombia. José María Peñaranda compositor, author of "Se va el caimán", initiator of the music "picante" or of "doble sentido";

Major League Baseball player of the Detroit Tigers Edgar Renteria; the renowned fashion designer Silvia Tcherassi; the model, presenter and actress Sofía Vergara; and the tycoon and businessman Julio Mario Santo Domingo.

The Carnival of  Barranquilla it is a cultural heritage, is one of the biggest carnivals in the world, one of Colombia’s most important folkloric celebrations, it is 4 days before the ash wednesday.

Some Barranquilla’s legends are: -La llorona - The twins with hydrocephalus - The nun of the Hospital Barranquilla - Witches in the Botanical Garden - The ghost bus - The galloping horse. These are some legends of Barranquilla.

My neihborhood is very good is silent, the neihbors have a good behavior, the neihborhood is not dirty, the policemen often pass although before it was less secure

thefts occurred some times more in weekends and festive, but the important thing is that afterwards it improved. The houses in my neihborhood are quite large and

old-established and most of them have a storage room. Now near my house they are being built new edifice, the bad about new buildings is the noise of the machinery used, the good is that thanks to the buildings costructed the breeze pass fluently and is a relief in this hot city.

Although now with some buildings already built and that are inhabited some neighbors have parties until late.

My neihborhood has enough fast-food restaurants and elegant restaurants like:

*Mcdonalds *El Corral *Sandwich Qbano.

Now that the neihborhood is very safe the people walk with their pets usually around here, i fell relieved since the neihborhood is safe and i can walk with my dog calmly, so much that when my dog runs away I can find him out there still running ; the people around my neihborhood is very good because when my dog runs away the people give me the right indications where he has passed.
